Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 package frozen hashbrowns thawed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine hashbrowns, cooked sausage, and 1 cup of shredded cheese.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour over hashbrown mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and the casserole is set.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
