Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Praline Topping

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions 

  1. 1. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange the bread cubes in the dish.
  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Pour evenly over the bread cubes. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  3. 3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the praline topping by combining the butter, brown sugar, pecans, corn syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl. Spread the praline topping evenly over the bread mixture.
  4. 4. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is set. Serve warm.
