Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup Pear, peeled and diced
  • ½ cup Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently fold in the diced pear.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently. Pat into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into 8 wedges.
  7. Place the wedges on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
