Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Topping

  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter cold, cut into pieces

Instructions 

  1. 1. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Place the bread cubes in the dish.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Pour evenly over the bread.
  3. 3. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  4. 4. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Store in a plastic bag in the fridge.
  5. 5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Sprinkle the topping evenly over the bread mixture.
  6. 6. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is set. Serve warm.
