Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 1 cup Blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 8 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • ½ cup Maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. Grease a baking dish and place half of the bread cubes in the dish. Sprinkle blueberries over the bread, then top with remaining bread cubes.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread cubes.
  3. 3. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 8 hours.
  4. 4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Remove the dish from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature while the oven preheats.
  5. 5. Bake the French toast in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  6. 6. Serve warm with additional maple syrup, if desired.
