Ingredients

  • 1 unit Pie crust store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups Onions thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 4 units Eggs beaten
  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese shredded
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Butter for sautéing onions

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onions until they are soft and golden brown.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the sautéed onions evenly over the pie crust.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the onions and sprinkle the shredded Gruyere cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let the quiche cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
