  • 4 Green plantains peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 cup Onions sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil

Instructions 

  1. Boil plantains in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes.
  2. Drain and mash the plantains with butter until smooth.
  3. In a frying pan, sauté onions in olive oil until soft.
  4. Serve mashed plantains topped with sautéed onions.
