Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • cup Lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups Pearl sugar

Instructions 

  1. 1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water with a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and granulated sugar. Make a well in the center and add eggs and yeast mixture. Mix to combine.
  3. 3. Gradually add melted butter and vanilla extract, mixing until the dough is smooth. Cover and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  4. 4. Gently fold in the pearl sugar.
  5. 5. Preheat your waffle iron. Divide the dough into portions and cook each in the waffle iron until golden brown and caramelized.
