Creamed Asparagus on Toast

Main Ingredients
- 1 bunch Asparagus trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 2 tablespoon Flour
- 1 cup Milk
- 4 slices Bread toasted
- to taste Salt and Pepper
1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the flour and whisk to form a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
3. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.
4. Add the asparagus pieces and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Serve the creamed asparagus over toasted bread slices.
