  • 2 acorn squash halved and seeded
  • 2 apples cored and chopped
  • 2 tablespoon butter melted
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place acorn squash halves in a baking dish, cut side up.
  3. In a bowl, mix chopped apples, melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Fill each squash half with the apple mixture.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until squash is tender.
