Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 eggs separated
- 4 tablespoon butter melted
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg yolks, and melted butter.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the batter.
Heat the aebleskiver pan over medium heat and lightly grease each well with butter.
Fill each well with batter and cook until the edges start to set. Use a skewer to turn each aebleskiver and cook until golden brown on all sides.
Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar or with your favorite jam.
