Move over PB fanatics – There’s a new, savoury, creamy spread in town! Not only is almond butter full of nutritional benefits (Vitamin E? Protein? Yum!), there are also dozens of ways to use it. Here’s our favourite ways to enjoy this delicious spread.
1. Spread on Toast with Banana Slices.
A morning favourite worth NOT hitting the snooze button for! The savoury almond butter pairs perfectly with the sweetness of bananas. The potassium in banana and protein in almond butter is also a great snack after a workout. Use multigrain bread for a boost in fibre, too!
2. Make Apple Sandwiches.
A perfect snack idea for adults or little ones. This easy recipe is a great way to chase away mid-day hunger pangs or for that quick breakfast fix. Top it off with granola for an extra crunch! One of the best ways to use almond butter is in these tiny but mighty energy balls. We make ours with raw cacao nibs and just a touch of honey – great for an energy and protein boost at the office or on the go without the crash!
